AOL is working on a VOIP client that they hope will make the AOL Instant Messenger service stand out of the crowd. The service is called AIM Phoneline, and it will enable AIM users to receive phone calls on a free number provided by AOL. If users wish to use the service to make outgoing calls, they will need to upgrade their VOIP service which will cost $14.95 USD per month.
